A four-stage coordinated program — from pre-qualification to licensed driver.

Each stage is managed end-to-end by a dedicated coordinator. Appointments and payments are handled on your behalf with our partner driving school and the Texas Department of Public Safety.

STAGE 01

Eligibility & Permit

Documented eligibility review. Online learner permit guidance. Enrollment in the required 6-hour Adult Driver Education course and Impact Texas Driver video.

STAGE 02

Permit Appointment

First appointment with our partner driving school is scheduled and paid on your behalf. Confirmation sent in writing prior to the visit.

STAGE 03

Road Test (Vehicle Provided)

Road test scheduled within 24–48 hours of permit appointment. A vehicle is provided by the driving school for the test, removing the most common barrier for first-time applicants.

STAGE 04

DPS Restriction Removal

The earliest available DPS appointment is booked to finalize your license and remove restrictions, typically within 48 hours of passing your road test.

W$R Tax Solutions is a service of IANS AND SONS INC, a Texas-registered company providing tax preparation, bookkeeping, and coordination services to small business owners and individuals across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.

Our license coordination service was developed in response to a recurring need from clients who were unable to obtain a Texas driver's license due to extended DPS appointment backlogs and the requirement to provide a personal vehicle for road testing.

We are not a driving school. We coordinate the entire process on our clients' behalf using vetted, independently licensed third-party driving schools and the standard DPS appointment system.

Questions from prospective clients.

Is W$R Tax Solutions affiliated with the Texas Department of Public Safety?
No. We are an independent, privately owned coordination service. We have no affiliation with the Texas Department of Public Safety, the State of Texas, or any government agency. We work within the standard DPS appointment system on our clients' behalf.
Are you a licensed driving school?
No. Driver education and road testing are provided by independently licensed third-party driving schools. Our role is coordination — scheduling, paperwork, eligibility review, and payments handled on the client's behalf.
How long does the full process take?
The standard timeline is 3–5 weeks from enrollment to licensed driver. Variability depends on client completion of the Adult Driver Education course and DPS appointment availability for the final restriction removal stage.
Why is pre-qualification required?
Pre-qualification ensures applicants meet the Texas DPS requirements before enrolling. This prevents wasted time and money for applicants with disqualifying circumstances such as suspensions, OMNI holds, or warrants.
What if I have a suspended license or unpaid tickets?
This program is for first-time applicants only. Applicants with active suspensions, OMNI holds, or unpaid Texas tickets should inquire about our separate License Reinstatement Coordination program ($497).
What is the refund policy?
A full refund less a $97 administrative fee is available if cancellation occurs before service begins (before 80% of the payment plan is complete). After service begins, no refund is issued for payments already made, as third-party fees are non-recoverable. Failed road tests are not refundable; re-test scheduling is available for an additional fee.
Why does service begin only after 80% of payment is received?
Once enrollment begins, third-party fees are paid to the driving school and coordinator time is committed. The 80% threshold protects both parties: it ensures W$R can complete its commitments, and it allows the client to cancel cleanly with refund eligibility before non-recoverable costs are incurred.
Who can use my qualification passcode?
Passcodes are tied to the individual eligibility submission and identity verification. Each prospective client must complete their own pre-qualification review. Passcodes are not transferable.
